Red Bull Illume is the world’s premier action and adventure sports photography competition. A panel of 53 prestigious photo experts judged the quality of the pictures’ creativity and artistic talent.

American photographer Chris Burkhard was the overall winner for his impressive shot of Peter Mendria riding the waves on the west coast of Chili, while Français Vincent Perraut was awarded with the prize for best culture photo.
