VanityFair.com presented yesterday a slide show of the photos taken with the very last roll of Kodachrome to come off Kodak’s assembly line.
The three dozen frames by photographer Steve McCurry, depict scenes from New York, Bombay, Rajasthan, Bombay, Istanbul, London, and finally Parsons, Kansas.
“Kodachrome,” writes Vanity Fair’s David Friend in the introduction, “was to color slides what the saxophone was to jazz.”
