If you are a photojournalism aficionado but do not have the time, or the knoledgwe to find out what and where to see the best images , here is a list for you. It has no pretension of being exhaustive nor perfect but if you visit these site on a regular basis, you are guaranteed a strong exposure to what is being done in photojournalism today.
1. The Guardian

From their “last 24 hours” daily galleries to their “from the agencies” presentation, it is hard to find such an exhaustive presentation of today’s best photojournalism.

From the lighthouse of worldwide journalism, the New York Times Lens Blog is must go destination for anyone who has a passion for photography. The editors have no problem mixing renown photographers with upcoming talents. Furthermore, there is a strong emphasis on feature stories.

Created by a passionate editor on his free time, the Big Picture has quickly become a runaway hit among all photojournalism lovers worldwide. The concept is simple yet extremely effective. One topic illustrated by mostly wire service images displayed as large as possible.
4. The Los Angeles Time

Not to be shadowed by its East coast competitor, the Los Angeles Times has a photo blog of it own. Unlike other, it devotes a lot of space to multimedia creation ( photo, video, music, sound, text).

Their “week in pictures” is very often the best and a must see destination every Friday. They are also extremely active in producing their own photo features as well as creating compelling galleries around news events.
