The auction market house Ader/Nordmann has organized a sale of photography books in partnership with Argentic, which will take place in the salon Favart (located in the Ader House at 3 rue Favart), next Thursday March 31 at 2 p.m.
Over 300 old or modern photograph works can be found, signed, dedicated or even accompanied with copies, vintage articles or press packs. They have been obtained from private collections and in particular from the libraries of photographer Yvette Troispoux and Patrick Roegiers, writer and former photography critic at the newspaper “Le Monde”. Among the most rare pieces, we find “Paris de Nuit” by Brassaï, signed by the photographer, with the message “To Henri Jeanson. Kind regards” (2,000 to 3,000 €) “Voluptés de Paris” also by Brassaï, Paris – Publications 1934 (2700 to 3000€).
“Images à la sauvette” (Verve editions, 1952) and “Les Européens” (Verve editions, 1955) by Henri Cartier-Bresson, respectively valued at around 1,500 to 2,000€ and 1,200 to 1,500€.
“Anonyme Skulpturen” by Bernd et Hilla Becher (Art Press Verlag editions, 1970) from 1,300 to 1,500€.
“Tokyo” by William Klein (Editions du Seuil Paris, 1956) from 2,500 to 3,000€, and also, “Contact” (Contrasto editions, Rome 2008) by the same author, in a limited edition series accompanied by a signed print: from 2500 to 3000€.
