Created by Roger Pic nine years ago, the “Grand Prix Scam du portfolio photographique” offers a prize worth 4500€ with an exhibition at the Scam. As the prize title indicates, it recognizes portfolios comprised of 15 pictures maximum focused on society, travel, the arts…

Submissions can either be digital or prints with a maximum format 30 × 40cm (without margins). Digital pictures on CD’s or DVD’s must be compatible with PC (Windows) in formats JPG, TIF, PICT, PNG or BMP. Slides and photocopies will be refused. Submissions must be received at the Scam prior to May 27, 2011 and should be addressed to Carine Bled-Auclair.
They must be accompanied by a résumé and a registration form downloaded from www.scam.fr.
Submissions must not have been awarded previously. They can be picked up directly from the Scam, or returned by post for those candidates residing outside of Paris or abroad before October 20, 2011.

Before being presented to the final jury, submissions will be reviewed by a pre-selection jury comprised of members from the Scam’s still image department.
Short-listed submissions will be presented to the final jury as prints. For those submissions on CD’s or DVD’s, candidates must submit prints within one week.
Of the 167 portfolios received in 2010, 18 were short-listed and Philip Marinig was selected for his portfolio “O Sumo San”.
