ArtParis 2011 : Move for life !
Isabel Munoz, 2011 @Littmann Kulturprojekte
Contemporary Art takes to the streets of Paris in this exceptional mobile exhibition. The trucks Move for Life will drive down the Champs Elysées on March 30, 2011 at 1pm before parking in front of the Grand Palais at 1:30pm to celebrate the opening of the 2011 edition of ArtParis.
A Littmann Kulturprojekte (Bâle) idea, Move for Life, puts art in motion and imagines a better world by opening up our consciousness to all forms of exclusion and violence, including man and the environment. Move for Life is designed to establish a dialogue about major social issues between art and the general public using 13-meter long tractor trailers.
For its presentation at ArtParis 2011, Move For Life will be displaying for the first time works by Damien Deroubaix, Isabel Muñoz, Mark Titchner and Ben Vautier. Spanish photographer Isabel Muñoz, member of the Agence Vu’, will show his black and white portraits of the Maras gangs of San Salvador to denounce violence in society.
Throughout the duration of the salon, some of these trucks will remained parked in front of the Grand Palais, while others will drive through the capital, stopping at emblematic locations to meet the public. As of April 4, the Move for Life trucks will travel through Europe where they will greet more than 25 million spectators…
