“Karla Gachet and Ivan Kashinsky are both 33 years old. She was born in the capital of Equater, Quito, and he was born in Northridge, near Los Angeles.

They met at the University of San Jose, in California, where they were both studying journalism, and haven’t left each other since. Settled in Quito, they work together as freelance photographers covering South America. Ivan Kashinsky’s pictures have been published in National Geographic, Time, Géo, and exhibited in New York.
