In order to promote creation, the Photography section of the Academie de Beaux-Arts created in 2007, through the initiative of Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, a photography prize bearing his name. It involves professional French photographers working in France, with no limit to their age, who are given the possibility to develop an original project.
