This year, more than 750 portfolios have been received to take part in the Prize of Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography. After an initial shortlist, 70 portfolios were submitted to the jury of professionals composed of Magdalene Keaney (curator at London’s Fashion Space Gallery), Winfried Heininger (founder and creations’ director at Kodoji Press in Baden), Tom Watt (Art Director, ArtReview, London), Jennifer Pastore (Photo Director at Teen Vogue, New York), Nathalie Herschdorfer (Curator of the Foundation for the Exhibition of Photography in Lausanne), Colette Olof (Curator at FOAM in Amsterdam), Yannick Bouillis (Founder and director, Offprint, Amsterdam and Paris), Faye Dowling (Photo Director, Dazed & Confused, London), Jason Evans (photographer) and Marc Feustel (Curator,, blogger, Eyecurious, Paris).
The works of 10 selected photographers can be discovered in a collective exhibition open through May 29, 2011 at the Villa Noailles:
