During the Japanese season that will take place from April 26 through August 21, le Bal will offer two days of conferences on “Representing Catastrophe”. A panel of historians, anthropologists, critics and artists will participate in debates and round table discussions on April 30 and May 1 to explore how Japanese artists and the media represent the natural, technological and political catastrophes that have marked Japan’s history.
