The inaugural Flash Forward Festival Boston took place June 2-5, 2011 at Fairmont Battery Wharf on Boston’s revitalized North End waterfront.

This international four-day annual event is an extension of The Magenta Foundation’s successful annual emerging photographers competition, Flash Forward. The competition, established as a platform to promote emerging artists from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, is one of the most important art incubators in the world.

Established in 2004, The Magenta Foundation is Canada’s pioneering non-profit arts publishing house. Magenta was created to organize promotional opportunities for Canadian artists in the international arts community through circulated exhibitions and publications.
