Every year, the Museum of Modern Art of New York displays its recent
acquisitions in new talents. This year’s edition features 6 new
artists whose work reaches beyond the artworld. With New Photography 2011, spectators discover that there are clearly many ways to take pictures. Taking pictures, manipulating them, and diffusing them.
The artists featured in this exhibition each put a part of their
personal history into their pictures, including voices from Canada,
China, England, Holland and the United States. The artists featured
include Moyra Davey, George Georgiou, Zhang Dali, Doug Rickard, Vivane Sassen, and Deana Lawson. The MoMA geared this exhibition to audiences of all ages, emphasizing clarity and vision. This week, even a 5 year old will see clearly.
