This week, la Lettre is proud to start a new column. From now on, every week, we will show some of the most compelling work offered by photo agencies worldwide. This column will be a showcase where they will be able to present the work of their most talented photographer. Sometimes yet unpublished, sometimes hardly seen, it will allow you to discover the best in photojournalism today.

We start this week with the work of Gabriele Stabile from Luz photo agency. Gabriele is an Italian photojournalist, recognized by Photo District News as one of the 30 emerging photographers of 2010 and currently living in New York. Luz is an Italian photo agency born out of the defunct legendary Grazia Neri

His story is a novel approach on the Palestinian coverage and shows the inside of a Hamas jail in Gaza for Palestinian criminals. Some of the inmates have been condemned to death and are awaiting their sentence.
