Festival
Paris, Salon de la Photo 2011: exhibitions
Outside of the many individual exhibitions to be found at the stands of the different exhibitors, the stands of associations, trade bodies, and groups magazines are not to be outdone, and the same can be said for the magazines which are redoubling their efforts in originality. Result: one can “be photographed with a mannequin of Starck Naked” (designer Philippe Starck) at the Photo stand. Or one can get technical advice at the Réponses Photo stand (program on the blog www.photofloue.net). Or one can take a lesson in portrait photography with Pierre-Anthony Allard’s “Harcourt Studio” lighting. Or one can recreate ambrotypes at the Images Magazine stand. Or one can see—or go back to see again—the “European photos of the year” trophy awarded by the APPPF photo agency. The winners in each category and F. Sautereau, winner of the photo of the year. And one can sign up for the 2012 competition at:

France Info/ 6 Mois
The French radio station France Info has gone into partnership with the magazine 6 Mois to present Somerset by Venetia Dearden, a first in France.
For five years, Venetia Dearden traveled around Somerset where she grew up. She photographed very different kinds of families with whom she felt comfortable. A world in the process of disappearing and a homage to those who are trying to preserve it.
Voyage, Voyages
This exhibition, created for the Salon de la Photo by the magazine De l’Air brings together ten photographers whose work has been commissioned by the magazine since its creation in 2000. The photographers participating in the exhibition are Grégoire Korganow, Linda Tuloup, Patrick Swirc, Guillaume Herbaut, Elen Usdin, Floriane de Lassée, Florent Mattei, Bertrand Desprez, Olivier Roller and François Lacour.
