In memoriam
Farewell Göksin by Patrick Chauvel
He made me take pictures, but I’m still not sure how. The people here from the SIPA photo lab can tell you: A pig could take better pictures than me. He said he lived on the Champs Elysées. And that was true. The building was on the avenue, but he lived in the maid’s quarters on the sixth floor. He painted a banner and lowered it down the side of the building through the window. Then he photographed it with the Arc de Triomphe in the background.../...He managed to make a little money with that.../...In fact, I think he went after the biggest scoop there is: a picture of God."
