The Ader Nordman auction house in Paris will hold a public auction for photography books, Thursday, October 20 at 14h. In addition to the titular collection, a selection of European, American and African photographers’ portfolios will be up for auction, many of them signed. Also available will be several Japanese publications unknown in France until very recently, including some limited editions, such as Clergue, Doisneau’s Scènes d’enfants, and Boubat’s Ode marine.

Lot No. 1: Laure Albin Guillot, Henri de Montherlant “La déesse Cypris,” twelve nude studies by Laure Albin Guillot Henri Colas & Rousseau Frères Editeurs, Paris - Bordeaux, 1946. Folio (37 x 25 cm). First edition, limited to 250 copies on white vellum Lana paper, decorated with twelve photogravures (36 x 24 cm with the margins). Soft-cover (slightly worn on the back), with slipcase (a few marks).
