It was love at the first sight between Tom Wood (La Lettre, October 24, 2011) and Yan Morvan. Instead of the usual pictures of the opening, Yan sent us the image sof their cruise around Paris.
"He’s an English national but an Irish native, which explains why he didn’t hesitate to photograph both the statue of Joan of Arc and Napoleon’s tomb last Sunday in Paris. This discrete photographer may tell the stories of the downtrodden of “Perfidious Albion”, but he dislikes being photographed himself; his subjects would never forgive him were he to become a star. His immense talent, currently on display at the “Sit Down” gallery on rue Sainte Anastase in Paris, was reason enough for us to follow his every move. Here’s hoping he isn’t the type to hold a grudge. See you (very) soon, Tom Wood.
