To highlight the diverse acquisition policies of museums around the world, each year three international institutions will present their recently acquired photographic works. This year will see the presentation of:
• The International Center of Photography (ICP; New York) which will be focusing on its acquisition orientation: “Sudden Impact: Photography on the Printed Page”.
• The Tate Modern (London) which will unveil a set of 30 photographs by Daido Moriyama, from the rediscovered negatives of his major book, Farewell Photography (1972).
• The Musée de l’Elysée (Lausanne) which will present a selection from the Charlie Chaplin photographic collection, the project “Polaroid is Dead” and its production support programme.
