Introduction
Established by Benjamin Trigano, M+B strives to discover and expose the work of emerging and established artists while engaging with the ever-evolving nature of photography and its reconsideration as a defining medium. While the primary focus is of a contemporary nature, M+B also exhibits work of social and documentary relevance, creating a purposeful dynamic aimed at contributing to a discussion of art and photography grounded in, yet going beyond, the concept of the medium. The gallery maintains a rigorous exhibition schedule, with up to eight solo exhibitions and one group show per year, while participating in domestic and international art fairs such as Volta, Paris Photo, AIPAD, FEMACO, Pulse New York and Miami, Art Platform and Art Hong Kong.
M+B presents REFOCUS, a booth that examines how contemporary photography reframes our aesthetic traditions. Amidst the barrage of images that populate daily life, five precocious artists ranging from established to emerging are forging a new way of perceiving and negotiating our visual world.
