Paris auctioneer Françoise Caste-Deburaux, of the Compagnie Marocaine des Œuvres et Objets d'Art (CMOOA) is organizing the first contemporary Arabic, Turkish and Iranian photography sale in Morocco. The sale is comprised of approximately 70 photographs including internationally renowned artists Shirin Neshat, Reza Aramesh, Youssef Nabil, Moataz Nasr, Shadi Ghadirian, Mohamed El Baz and Alex & Felix…
In the Iranian department, essential lots include Shirin Neshat’s Summer 53 #4 (2008) a metaphor of the 1953 revolution when Mohammad Mossadegh’s destitution changed the face of Iran, estimates between 31800 / 36000 €. Or with Revolutionary Man (2008), third of the series Women Without Men, estimated between 54500 / 63000 €, a video filmed by Shirin Neshat in Morocco about Iran’s tragic history. Like Action 46 (2008), estimated between 18100 / 20000 € and Action 72 (2009), estimated 16300 / 18100 €, two photographs by Reza Aramesh from the series "Action".
