For one year, Philong Sovan has supervised the work of six children in his village, 45 kilometers from Phnom Penh, in Takeo province. They produced images of their environment, of their daily lives at home, in school, and in the rice fields, and put together an ensemble that gives an interior point of view while revealing their pleasure and astonishment for photography. In an amazing series entirely in a blue tonality, which is located on the lake near their village, a place essential for their living conditions but also for their imaginations, two twin girls, 14 years old, invented this little poetic tale, midway between dream and reality, which reinvents in a disquieting way the end of a day.
