The Roswitha Haftmann Foundation board awarded Cindy Sherman with the 150,000 CHF Foundation Prize. The prize awarded by the Foundation, created in 1999 according to the wishes of the late Roswitha Haftmann (1924-1998), is given to "living artists producing major works". The first winner was named in 2001. It is the most generous such award in Europe. It will be presented on May 12 at the Kunsthaus Zürich.
