The sale of Maison Piasa that will take place on Friday, February 3rd at 2pm in Salle 6 of the Hôtel Drouot is what can be considered a “small sale” including books, albums, and pictures of all kinds. It is clear that collectors or institutions looking for rarities should abstain…Amateurs, however, might find what they are looking for at reasonable prices with estimates hovering around 200€ and the highest approaching 1000 Euros.
These “small sales” that bring together prints otherwise unavailable in major annual sales also provide collectors with thematic prints by subject and specialty.
An endless flow of pictures made of 361 lots. The first 45 lots include books and exhibition catalogs. They are followed by a few historical cameras including a Verascope, and a Taxiphote (53). Then photographic albums (Beato Bonfils 66), until 81. Prints will follow covering countries, the Orient, portraits (De Gaulle), bullfights, sailboats, dogs…
Among the most interesting:
Lot 110, Giovanni CRUPI - Giorgio SOMMER and diverse:
