It happens twice a year. Sometimes they’re inspirational and original, and sometimes it's déjà vu. Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s the new season of fashion ad campaigns. But sadly for some of us, it is only twice a year. I admit to feeling a little like a kid in a candy store as I come upon the fashion and luxury brands’ creative visions orbiting around their collections, seeing who’s shooting who, where and how.
While making themselves heard -and seen- in the editorial “playgrounds” of magazines around the world, trend-driven brands discover very talented up-and-coming photographers, or are re-inspired by some of the greats. Their ads then trickle onto the pages of international women’s glossy magazines, with specific visuals from their campaigns chosen in calculated ways, perfectly corresponding to their dedicated followers of fashion, and hopefully hooking new ones, from Shanghai to Sao Paulo. Here's a look at some of this season’s temptresses...
