Like Helmut, the blend of genres was the signature element of the opening of the Newton exhibition at the Grand Palais. Show business, politics and culture mixed together without necessarily appreciating each other. The buffet was sumptuous, the crowd impressive, and at 10:30pm, guests were still standing on line to get in. A few people wondered about the presence of former call-girl Zahia Dehar.
