If Raed Bawayah used the olive tree to start his work, it is because this tree, symbol of peace for the Mediterranean, also provokes a sensation of peace and resistance to the violence of man and nature; the olive tree, a veritable metaphor of the Palestinian desesperate struggle to hold on to its mother land, is the starting point for a photographic exploration of the territorial issue of a land torn, desired, and claimed by two nations.
