The Eugène Atget, Paris, exhibition that will be at the Musée Carnavalet until July 29th features 230 vintage prints produced in Paris between 1898 and 1927. Famous images for some, discovery for others. The exhibition was previously shown at the Fundacion Mapfre in Madrid and at the Nederlands Fotomuseum of Rotterdam before heading to the Art Gallery of New South Wales jn Sydney, and is a combination of several collections. The majority of the 265 works on display come from the Carnavalet Museum collection with 183 period prints (selected from over 9000 in the collection), 5 albums, 8 postcards and one negative. They are accompanied by 43 prints from the George Eastman House (Rochester) and by five from the Fundacion Mapfre.
