Sandu et Dinu Mendrea : Kotel
Known for decades in his native Romania and having produced many books, received many prizes, and exhibited in Europe and New York, Sandu Mendrea was nonetheless a victim of censorship in 1986. He made the difficult decision to leave his country to settle with his family in Israel. Once there, he photographed the country, taking a special interest in that center of religious life: the Wailing Wall (Kotel) in Jerusalem.
