Diane Sagnier, 22, represent a new generation, one whose creativity is expressed through a return to nature, freedom, emotion and immaterial life, using various means of expression (photo, video, music).
Though her first love remains music, she enrolled at 18 in a photography program at the Ecole des Gobelins in Paris. When she graduated in 2010, she began collaborating with french and international brands (Billabong, By Zoé, The Shoes, Walter Sobcek), attracting the attention of fashion and music industry professionals who immediately commissioned her still and moving images.
For Diane Sagnier, photography and music come from the same sensibility. They form a movement that goes on to become videos. She began by illustrating her own music by making stop-motion videos, like I Left Home, before getting a DSLR and setting up projects for bands, like Orsen, a personal project for the group Cardinale filmed in Florida with her family... She also covers music festivals where she spends time with other artists. Today, all her interests blend together but music remains her inspiration.
Diane Sagnier received the Prix Picto de la Jeune Photographie de Mode 2011.
