The Clic Gallery presents the exhibition "Cannes Festival Memories", featuring a selection of photographs from the vast Traverso archives. These images were taken by four successive generations of photographers who have covered the Festival de Cannes since its inception in 1939. Traverso has immortalized the greatest actors and directors of the world cinema, from Louis Lumière to Quentin Tarantino and all the celebrities who have attended Cannes over the past seventy years.
The Traverso archives were founded by the grandfather Auguste Traverso and continued by his son Girard, his grandson Henri and his great-grandson Gilles. They have made a connection with all the big names who have posed for their cameras.
The Studio Traverso was founded in Cannes in 1919, and now boasts an archive of 100,000 images.
