Around the world walls create division . The Berlin wall fell, while others, increasingly massive, and ever more absurd have been built since. In Palestine, in Morocco, in Mexico… Walls separate but they are also bear political messages of the current mood. May 68 is distant but slogans live on and are indelibly stamped in our memory as they were on walls at the time when « Forbidden to Forbid » topped the bill alongside with « Demand the impossible » !

During conflicts such as in Nicaragua or in Belfast, words of freedom saw the light of day well before tongues were loosened. More recently we have observed this during the Arabic revolutions, « Thank you Facebook » mixed with « Mubarak out » or « Death to Gaddafi ».

We will show large formats images, in the form of a sound-tracked scenography that will begin at the Sete railway station and end in the courtyard of the former Victor Hugo secondary school (Maison de l’Image Documentaire). Walls simulated on cubic forms will give us a world tour on segregation, war, art and freedom too.
