We have received this letter from Hubert Henrotte :
"As many errors are currently being communicated about the creation of the Gamma Agency, even in yesterday’s issue of La Lettre (article evoking the book about Gilles Caron), I wanted to provide the facts as they were revealed in the statutes and communicated in my book “Le Monde dans les Yeux”, confirmed by Raymond Depardon.
Here is the exact truth I would like you to keep as a reference in the La Lettre archives, in case of need:
Creation of the Gamma Agency:
The Gamma agency was created by former Figaro photo reporter Hubert Henrotte on November 14, 1966, who was its director until May 1973. His associates were Raymond Depardon, Léonard de Raemy and Hugues Vassal. Jean Monteux joined the staff in January 1967, and Gilles Caron bought De Raemy’s actions in May, 1967 to become an associate.
Thank you for your attention.
