Inimaginable : Une image, une semaine, par mois
« Y a tout qui s’écroule. Tous les meubles s’abîment, c’est rongé par les souris et les rats. On n’y arrive pas, je m’en sors pas. Ma femme a 39 ans, elle a droit à un peu de confort. C’est tout à fait normal, elle aimerait bien avoir une salle de bain pour pouvoir prendre sa douche comme toutes les autres femmes. Elle est obligée d’amener des marmites chauffées jusque là-bas, en haut, à la caravane, et de mettre des serviettes sur la vitre cassée. On se chauffe avec l’alcool à brûler. On est obligés. Juste le temps de se mettre au lit, on met une casserole avec un plateau posé par terre. On fait vite une flambée, pas trop parce que s’il y a une flamme énorme, ça étouffe. On éteint et on se couche. Le lendemain matin, on se lève, on refait la même chose. Voilà, c’est tout. On ne peut pas vivre là-dedans, c’est impossible. Je pense à tout… C’est pas moi c’est mon cerveau, ça travaille dedans… Et des fois je lui demande de me calmer mais j’y arrive pas. J’arrive pas. Je dors pas, je me réveille la nuit, je tourne en rond comme un fou. Ça me mange. C’est tout. Dernièrement, j’ai voulu me tirer dessus. J’en ai marre de voir tout ça. J’arrive pas à comprendre qu’il y ait des personnes qui arrivent à avoir tout et que nous on n’ait rien. » Daniel Oliviero, il vit avec sa femme dans une caravane à Berre-l’étang.
This image of Samuel Bollendorff will be visible on the streets of Paris on May 29th. Inimagnable is an association that provides support and financing for photography projects that concern human rights and discrimination. Too many reports today are never published due to lack of funding, and the images are never seen by the public. Inimagnable uses a participatory financing platform (KissKissBankBank) to raise production budgets for such projects, selecting each month a photograph that becomes the subject of a poster campaign in the heart of Paris.

"Nowhere Safe" - Samuel Bollendorff
Nowhere Safe (A l'abri de rien), an investigation into housing problems in France produced with Mehdi Ahoudig for the Fondation Abbé Pierre. It is a web documentary (www.a-l-abri-de-rien.com ), an exhibition and a book published by Éditions Textuel.
Samuel Bollendorff (b. 1974) is a photographer and filmmaker. A member of the Agence VU’, he started out as contributor to the French newspaper Libération. After producing work on hospitals, schools, the police, prison, AIDS and the suburbs, he shot a series on the forgotten victims of the Chinese economic miracle: À Marche forcée (Editions Textuel, 2008). Since then, he has devoted himself to new documentary on the web by making Voyage au bout du Charbon, The Big Issue, and Nowhere Safe.
Starting May 29, Bollendorff’s photography can be seen in Paris in front of the Assemblée Nationale (278 bd Saint Germain), at Porte Maillot, and at the Quai de la Rapée / Pont de Bercy.
