You see a lot of cameras at Look3. You hear a lot of very serious talk about Photography (capitol P), but the spirit of the place is fun. A lot of smiling, a lot of laughing, some dancing, and some singing, (more about that later), maybe even a little good natured whining about the business in general. There is even a quiet moment to reflect on those who have given their lives to bring the world the images that help us all to understand what is going on. On Saturday evening “the get-together in Lisette Model’s living room” (see Thursday’s post) came to a raucous, rolling, joyful end as Brooklyn-born photographer Arlene Gottfried, first with a combo and then with a full Church choir serenaded her wonderful photos and us with a “joyful sound.” It was a perfect end.
