Afghan soldiers carry a wounded member of Afghan national police into a US Army medevac helicopter that landed on the outer perimeter of Combat Outpost Pirtle King, near the village of Tsunek, north-east Kunar Province, Afghanistan. An Afghan security forces checkpoint near the village of Zanger Bosha was ambushed by Taliban fighters, injuring at least two Afghan security forces that were then transported to the nearby US Army Combat Outpost Pirtle King for triage before being air evacuated to a military facility in Jalalabad. A group exhibition that spans from the 9/11 disaster to the present, with emphasis on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. It aims to show the scope of their toll, both at home and abroad.
