The latest issue of the French-language publication Réponses Photo No. 14 asks a question that could be interpreted as either iconoclastic or nostalgic: “Why not film photography?”

Just because the market has shifted toward digital photography doesn’t mean that professional photographers have. Does a film photograph become digital once it’s been scanned? And does a digital photograph become analogue once it’s been printed out? How much longer will photo labs exist?

This issue features answers to these questions and many others from a host of critics and photographers: Jean-Christophe Béchet, Pierre de Vollombreuse, Lola Guerrera, Joan Bardeletti, Eric Bouvet, Eri Dessert. We also hear from three young photographers who have all chosen to work with film for different reasons: Thomas Vanden Driessche, Sarah Van Der Linden and Arno Brignon.
