Arles 2012 - Off: ParisBerlin fotogroup
The ParisBerlin>fotogroup has revived Exquisite Corpse, the game popularized by the Surrealists in the 1920s, and adapted the process to photography. The new rules require one photographer to reinterpret the picture of another photographer. This photographic exercise began as a call for proposals in May 2011. In the end, 104 photographers participated in the project, responding to the double theme “Journées ordinaires, privé | public” (Ordinary Days, Private | Public). The exhibition will present the layout of the book, designed by Sandra Schmalz. At the same time, Variations | Paris - Berlin will show works from the collective’s photographers.
