The second edition of the Visa d’or from the International Committee of the Red Cross (CICR), sponsored by the Fondation SANOFI ESPOIR, was awarded during a projection of September 6, 2012, to the photographer Mani for his series documenting the extreme vulnerability of emergency care workers in Homs, Syria. His photographs will be on display at the Palais des Corts through September 21.

This prize is awarded to professional photojournalists, and is intended to illustrate the obligation to respect medical care in situations of armed conflict or violence.

The 2011 winner was Catalina Martin-Chico (Cosmos).
