An Icelandic photographer based in France, Benni Valsson, with his soft but keen eye, has for the past fifteen years photographed the hottest celebrities on the international cinema and music scene. Considered one of the greatest portrait photographers of the decade, Valsson was honored with his first retrospective at the Center for Visual Arts in his native town of Akureyri, Iceland.

Promo-shots presents 57 star portraits taken between 2000 and 2012: Björk, Martin Scorcese, David Lynch, Naomi Watts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Patti Smith, Tim Burton and Sean Penn, among others.

Valsson has also done fashion shoots for GQ, Elle, Le Monde, Liberation, Vogue, ID, Esquire and other magazines around the world, as well as ad campaigns for Channel 4, Europe 1 (Prix de la Presse 2010) and Petit Bateau (Award for Best Ad Campaign 2009).
