Polka: will the Loi Guigou be repealled ?
The French Minister of Culture and Communication, Aurélie Filippetti', has announced the end of a law—’La Loi Guigou’—that limits who and what photographers in France can photograph, and where they are allowed to publish them.
According to Polka Magazine in their latest issue (available on iPad):
“It is no longer acceptable that professional photographers be prevented from exercising their talent, and passing on their vision of our world to future generations. Without them, our society is faceless. This law deprived us of some of our memories.”
