Whether it takes the form of temporary graffiti or gigantic murals, painting on walls is a spontaneous and ancient mode of self-expression. They reflect all the cries and murmurs of our world. From Philadelphia to Johannesburg, from Santiago to Jerusalem, from Mumbai to Gdansk, city’s walls manifest doubts and fears, fighting and violence, and hope for a better and fairer world. This photography project, which took us to twenty different countries, bears witness to a history written by people with no name. It is our history, and it reveals that mankind concerns are shared around the planet.
