La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, the hometown of the celebrated architect Charles-Edouard Jeanneret, aka Le Corbusier (1887-1965), is celebrating the 125th anniversary of his birth with a series of events: exhibitions, a new publication, and a symposium held at the end of September.

The celebration was centered on photography, in particular with the exhibition at the Musée des beaux-arts de La Chaux-de-Fonds, Construire l'image : Le Corbusier et la photographie (Constructing the Image: Le Corbusier and Photography), which didn’t limit itself to photographs of Le Corbusier’s buildings.

Although many exhibitions have been devoted to the many facets of Le Corbusier’s work, his relationship to photography has so far received little attention.
