Massimo Gurciullo photographs ordinary eroticism. After 30 years working in the studio, he now photographs in apartments, attracted by the light and atmosphere.

The photographer invites the viewer to become a voyeur, showing him erotic scenes and even sexual acts. He plays with light, blurs and evanescence. The faces of women are always in motion, hidden or off-frame. His photographic approach lies somewhere between pictorialism and voyeurism.

Gurciullo was born in Sicily in 1961. He taught himself photography at a young age, arriving in Paris in 1982 to work as a freelance photographer. In 2002, he began exploring notions of identity and temporality.
