The beach has become a recurrent theme in contemporary photography, and has featured in Martin Parr’s photographs since early in his career: “The seaside has to be one of the most fascinating places for people-watching. It is a place where we relax and lose our inhibitions, and that’s when true personalities come on display.”

Today Parr is bringing together his pictures in a limited-edition photo album (1000 copies) signed by the photographer.

The work is bound in the Japanese style: the photographs themselves are inserted by hand in die-cut slots, and protected by glassine pages.
