Mystery and charm
Born in Plock (Poland) in 1978. From the youngest years she was involved with a creative environment, exhibitions and photography.
She gained a diploma in Management in 2003 from Lodz University (Lodz, Poland). She exhibited her photographs among others in the Groteska Theatre in Krakow in 2005 and during the Colour Tolerance Festival in Lodz in 2006. Between 2006 and 2010 she studied photography at the Photography College of Warsaw in Poland and at Edinburgh College of Art. She lives and works in Great Britain.
Marta Bielska has been interested in artistic photography for the last four years. She mainly uses a medium format camera to photograph people, events and sometimes places. She published a book with her pictures and is working on the next one.
In photography she is amazed by the magic, mystery and charm of analogue photography. She thinks that for her, photography is hunting for something that is ephemeral in its nature and thus rare in its visual form.
