A graduate of the École Louis Lumière and the École Nationale Supérieure d’Art de Paris-Cergy, Marc Philbert’s work has appeared in high-end fashion magazines.

We might wonder then why he decided to photograph, for the magazine Fast (published by the independent ad agency Born to Run), this world of “Rats Bikers”. These aren’t civilized city bikers, even if they have names like Triumph and Guzzi. These aren’t the traders and boutique owners who sell back their Harleys as soon as the weather turns. Philbert went to photograph these real bikers with their jet-black monster hogs at the MCP Horizon club in Dour, Belgium, in May, 2012. There’s nothing staged about these pictures. Everything we see is authentic.
