This fifth edition of PPP is an opportunity to take stock. When inviting the 76 photographers who have been with us since 2008 to come up with new work, we were looking to the future, our wager was on the evolution of creativity, just as it was right from the start. It was also an opportunity, whether in color or in Black and white, from documentary to staging, from landscape to portrait, a story told in just one image, of finding all of the current photography trends in their diversity and wealth. It is also a collection that shows that our desire for dialogue between Europe and Asia, the launching point of the event, proved to have a meaning, one that we must pursue and develop. And we can see now how the festival, relayed by Studio Images, has enabled young Cambodians to express themselves, to master photography and, for some, to affirm their excellence as creators. We will keep our eyes on them and certainly see them reach new heights in photography tomorrow.
