"Schwarzenegger is my idol" is the story about the young guys from Nikolayev, who are united by one thing -the goal to become the best of the best and they will do everything possible to achieve it. The photos show the young people who engage in athletics, acrobatics, fitness, and bodybuilding. I asked one of the boys to tell me what role play is his hobby in life. Here's what he told me: "For me, my sport is what I live for. Daily control and hard work - that leads me to success. Sport disciplines a man, enables him to understand the value of labor, the value of choices. I always wanted to be something more than an ordinary man , more colossal than the ordinary representative of the society, so in my sport I do the best I can, because I want to reach the top".

Why my «models» are nude on photos? I think it adds courage and naturalness. These pictures were taken with two film cameras - Nikon N2000 and Olympus mjuII. The creation of this series was filled with only positive emotions and work with the "models" has been a pleasure for me. The series was created in the spring of year 2012. 

Sergey Melnitchenko

Sergey Melnitchenko was born in 1991. He lives in Mykolaiv. Studied at the National University of Shipbuilding. And is making photos since 2009, when my parents bought me my first camera. I never wanted to be a photographer, but now I like this so much that it has become a great part of my life. At first I just walked on the streets and made photos of old people, kids and others. I didn't want anything else, I just took my camera and went for a walk. In time it became boring so I decided to try myself in portrait photography. I fell in love with this genre and from that time I'm doing only staged photos with people.
