Backlight is a long-term project made in the backstage of different fashion shows of Barcelona and Madrid. Behind the flashes lies a world unknown to most. A world full of emotions and joy, but also of boredom and loneliness. Very young girls, away from their families and friends, wait for long sessions of makeup and costumes, for a fashion show that will last just 15 minutes.

Angel Carbonell is a photographer based in Barcelona (Spain). He basically works in commercial photography, editorial, press, portrait, fashion but also has several personal projects in progress.
