After Raymond Depardon, Stanley Greene and Marc Riboud, the fourth Prix International Planète Albert Kahn (PIPAK) was awarded to photographer Marie-Laure de Decker. The award was handed over on February 21, 2013, by Visa pour l’Image festival founder and director Jean-François Leroy, at the Espace Central/Dupon.

This year’s jury was chaired by Stanley Greene, winner of the PIPAK 2011, and included Anne Cartier-Bresson (curator and director of the ARCP), Daphné Anglès (New York Times journalist), Sopher Bernard (Images magazine), Gilles Baud-Berthier (historian and curator), Jean-François Camp (Dupon Digital Photo Lab), Jean-François Fortchantre (Association Planète Albert Kahn) the photographer and Institut de France member Bernard Perrine, who with their choice honored the talent and courage of a photographer who has often found herself at he heart of the world’s biggest conflicts.
